I am a designer and software developer deeply engaged in projects with high social impact in Africa. Living currently in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire), I was lucky enough to co-found two ventures providing media and technology services.
Since 2008 as African Hope, I have been editing Wikipedia, in French mainly, as well as its sister projects such as Commons, where my bot gives a helping hand from time to time. Alongside my volunteer editing, I was involved in the growth of the Wikimedia Community in Côte d’Ivoire, building partnerships with librarians and creating a local Wikimedia developers community.
In the Trust and Safety team, my efforts aim at making Wikimedia projects a safer place for all, those who consume its content as well as the ones who shape it. This involves investigating privacy and safety issues, drafting policies, and eventually building handy tools to achieve our team's goals.
Previously, I served as Strategy Coordinator for the French-speaking communities.
